The walk-off home run is one of baseball's most exciting moments, and there were plenty from which to choose around New England in the last week. If you're partial to dominant pitching performances, we'll highlight several of those as well.

Throughout the spring, we’ll look to recognize athletes who have exceptional performances each week. We will select players from prep and high school teams around New England, but we will try not to double up on recognizing any prep players who earned recognition earlier that week in the Prep Coaches Poll. This week, we also published the MIAA power rankings, so we omitted any player that earned mention there as well.

A reminder that it is impossible to attend every high school or prep game in New England, so we rely on reports from coaches and social media accounts to select the performers each week. If you have a nominee for the weekly watch list, email NEBJ editor Dan Guttenplan at dguttenplan@baseballjournal.com.

Here’s a look at 17 exceptional performers at the high school and prep levels over the last week.
