While the 2021 prep and high school baseball seasons are a bit of a question mark at the moment, there's no question that -- if the season is played across New England -- the complexion of teams will change dramatically since the last time they took the field.
Not only will the Class of 2023 take the field for the first time after missing the 2020 season due to the pandemic, the Class of 2024 will also have a chance to make its mark at the prep and high school level. While it is rare for freshmen to step in and contribute immediately, it's not unprecedented.
Today, we take a look around New England to try to identify 10 freshmen who might contribute at the prep or high school level in 2021.
