It's never an easy task projecting if an incoming freshman will make a significant impact on the high school and prep baseball scene. Nonetheless, we attempted it last year, and seemed to do OK.
This year, the Class of 2025 will have a chance to make its mark at the prep and high school level. While it is rare for freshmen to step in and contribute immediately, it’s not unprecedented.
Today, we take a look around New England to identify 25 freshmen who might contribute at the prep or high school level in 2021. To be clear, we are not projecting future MLB Draft prospects or even college recruits this far in advance of their high school graduations. We are simply highlighting players who may impact the high school and prep baseball scene in 2022.
