Cam Papetti made a decision five years ago that would forever change his life and career moving forward. Opting to leave public school, Papetti found a new home at Worcester Academy.
Papetti had attended public school in nearby Grafton, Mass., until his eighth-grade year.
"The community is what drew me to Worcester Academy,'' said Papetti. "Not just with the sports teams but in academics too. The relationship between both teachers and students is unlike any other school.”
After primarily serving as a catcher in his early years at Worcester Academy, Papetti spent a lot of time playing third base last spring. He helped lead WA to the CNEPSBL postseason championship, batting .294 with a .493 OBP and 1.042 OPS. He also collected 10 extra-base hits and led the team with 14 assists.
