Owen Ma spent four years at Xaverian Brothers in Westwood, Mass., beginning as a seventh-grader. After his sophomore year, he reclassified in the Class of 2028 at St. Mark's School.
Ma didn't take leaving the MIAA Division 1 power lightly, but the ISL appeal swayed his choice.
Since his arrival, Ma has been a two-sport varsity athlete in ice hockey and baseball. Armed with a low-90s fastball, the right-handed pitcher was an early commit to BC this summer.
"St. Mark's has changed my life in almost all aspects, turning me into a more independent person and allowing me to become a better student, a better athlete, and a better human,'' said Ma, a native of Norwood, Mass. "Not only are the facilities here next-level, like the indoor batting cages, an ice rink on campus, and high-class weight rooms, but also the athletic community creates an environment that breeds hard work and success.''
