Balancing the demands of varsity baseball and soccer aren’t new for Dorchester, Mass., native Seamus Buckley. He’s been playing both sports since he was 4 years old. Now a junior at Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, Mass., Seamus continues to play baseball as a catcher and team captain and soccer as a goalkeeper.

Multidimensional athletes such as Seamus make my work as a sports nutritionist so interesting and enjoyable. My hope is that the knowledge athletes gain carries to the other facets of their lives and stays with them long after their playing careers end.
