The games have become more numerous for New England’s Division 1 baseball teams with two weekends of March action now complete.
That also means the start of conference play has arrived for some and is coming quickly down the pipe for others. Boston College and the region’s Northeast Conference programs were the first to reach the meat of their schedules and the path to league championships.
However, the majority of local teams were still hitting the road in non-conference play, and it resulted in multiple exciting series wins of both the offensive and pitching-dominant varieties. The weekend featured one of the sport’s most rare feats, a series win over a College World Series program from yesteryear, a coaching reunion and much more.
This edition of NEBJ’s Monday roundup covers all of that and the rest of the regional action from this past weekend.
