NORTH CHELMSFORD, Mass. – Andover might have been late arriving at Ayotte Field for its tilt with Chelmsford on Wednesday, but the Golden Warriors' bats were more than ready to play.
Andover exploded for a 5-0 lead in the top of the first before tacking on three more runs in the top of the second en route to a 9-0 rout of Merrimack Valley Conference foe Chelmsford.
Chris Jaillet scattered three hits across five innings for Andover (6-1), striking out three and walking one. He also went 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI. Drew Pulsifer went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run, while striking out four across two innings of relief.
