Our latest “transfer tracker” post includes incoming and outgoing first basemen for Central Connecticut State, a powerful addition to the Bryant infield, and a pair of returnees to the New England region from other areas of the country.
The pandemic and the rise of the NCAA Transfer Portal have created busy offseasons in college baseball. Players opting to go into the portal are not required to transfer or guarantee they will transfer, but it leaves the door open — and allows other schools’ coaches to speak with them. Last summer began with more than 3,000 players in the portal, and the trend has continued since.
