The Western New England Prep Baseball League (WNEPL) is one of the top-flight, highly-respective leagues in the Northeast.
It wasn't too long ago when this league was dominated by John Toffey-coached Salisbury School when the program was widely considered one of the very best at the prep level nationwide. But as time passed, the rest of the league caught up.
Schools like Loomis Chaffee, Berkshire and Suffield (the defending league champs from 2019) have made strong headway over the years. Now, the competition level from top to bottom in the league has remained substantial. Any of these programs is quite capable of earning a postseason berth and a league title come season's end.
As we continue in our series on prep school preseason league previews, this week, New England Baseball Journal focuses its attention on the WNEPBL. Here are the other prep conference previews.
