Andrew Rondini, a 6-foot-1,175-pound junior, has morphed into one of the region's top right-handed pitchers.
Recently wrapping up his third season at Canterbury School, Rondini led the Saints with a 5-1 record. In 41 innings pitched, he struck out 67 and held down a 1.19 ERA. Rondini is committed to the College of William and Mary for 2025.
"Andrew was our ace this year as a junior and received many accolades (WNEPBL Duane Estes co-Pitcher of the Year, All-NEPSAC),'' said Canterbury coach Todd Mathewson. "I expect him to have the same role next year and become even more of a leader. We graduated eight seniors, including seven that are going to play in college. I don't see any reason why he won't be the same pitcher or even better.''
A New Milford, Conn., native, Rondini made the difficult decision to leave public school following his eighth-grade year.
