Austin and Chase Hartsell are two of the most-elite athletes within the NEPSAC baseball terrain.
Austin, Class of '23, and Chase, Class of '25, both attend Dexter Southfield School, and each has made significant contributions on the diamond.
Austin transferred to Dexter Southfield from Bridgewater-Raynham (Mass.) at the start of the year as a junior. Likewise, brother Chase came on board as a freshman.
"Austin and Chase both made a massive impact to our school community from the moment they stepped on campus,'' Dexter Southfield coach Dan Donato said. "Well before the season even started, both boys made a name for themselves with their contributions in other sports. Austin, a former quarterback (at B-R), had a great season at receiver for our football team, which concluded with one loss and a Bowl win (in Moose Curtis Bowl). Chase was a high-scoring sixth man on our basketball team, which had one of the best seasons in program history. Chase is a strong 3-point shooter, and frequently finishes plays above the rim. Our baseball coaches are all teachers and administrators in the school, and our colleagues would often stop us and let us know how both boys are humble, respectful and fun to be around, as well as being open to feedback."
