The calendar flipping to June marks an exciting time for New England baseball fans.
A busy summer collegiate slate continues filling up this week with Tuesday’s start of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) play. The league is set for a 44-game regular season from June 7 through July 30, with teams and games across all six of the region’s states.
For the first time in its 28-year history, the NECBL will feature 14 teams split into three divisions. The league’s alignment includes a new-look North Division, featuring the Keene SwampBats, Sanford Mainers, Upper Valley Nighthawks, Vermont Mountaineers and Winnipesaukee Muskrats.
