The calendar flipping to June marks an exciting time for New England baseball fans.
A busy summer collegiate slate continues filling up this week with Tuesday’s start of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) play. The league is set for a 44-game regular season from June 7 through July 30, with teams and games across all six of the region’s states.
For the first time in its 28-year history, the NECBL will feature 14 teams split into three divisions. This season’s West Division includes the defending champion Danbury Westerners, as well as the Bristol Blues, North Adams SteepleCats and Valley Blue Sox.
