In his first season at St. Paul's School, Carter Corbett was instrumental in helping lead the Pelicans to the Lakes Region Conference championship.
Corbett transferred from Skaneateles High (N.Y.) as a reclassed junior prior to last school year. An outfielder and lefty pitcher, he, along with starter Luke Newhall, combined on a no-hitter in the title tilt against New Hampton School.
For the season, Corbett's numbers proved solid. At the plate, he batted .378 and had a .483 OBP. He collected six triples, recorded 13 RBIs, 22 runs scored, and 11 stolen bases. On the bump, he was 3-0 with a 1.75 ERA. Corbett earned All-NEPSAC, All-NEBJ Second Team, Lakes Region All-Star, and St. Paul's Rookie of the Year honors.
Corbett, a three-sport athlete at the Concord, N.H., school, is also a member of the varsity soccer (team captain) and hockey programs. Standing 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, Corbett's pitching arsenal includes a four-seam fastball (clocked in the mid-80s), slider, curve, and changeup.
