Dumar: How to maximize your pre-performance mindset

By Landon DumarMay 14, 2019

When I’m working with baseball players interested in enhancing their performance on the field, one area that I look to is their pre-performance routines.

Athletes oftentimes haven’t even considered what they do before a game and how that can impact their mindset and ability to perform, but the best athletes in all sports have a strong sense of what helps them and what doesn’t before a game.

While there are no universal right or wrong things to do, I instead will provide some areas I suggest athletes look to and some tools that can be of potential benefit. What I’ve found to be true and what the research also validates is that what works best for any individual athlete can vary greatly from one athlete to another.

Thus, your goal is to find what works best for you.
